In a specific initiative to take care of orphans, an agreement was signed between the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation and the Office of the Third Trend as an advisory body to implement the project, as well as the Modern Leadership Office as an advisory body overseeing the project, on Tuesday 30/11/2016 at the foundation’s headquarters.
This came in view of the interest of many community bodies in caring for orphans, and what the Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation noticed about the lack of specific projects interested in orphans among the grant-seeking parties and their lack of connection, and the scope of the initiative was defined in a number of elements: studies and experiences in order to know the current reality of orphans and best practices Provided to them, inclusiveness so that it covers all age groups of both sexes, regulations and laws to be studied locally and compared them globally, education and behavior so that their care does not stop at the limit of accommodation and feeding, as well as partnerships and alliances in order to join efforts to serve this group dear to society for the benefit of them.
Through this scope, the initiative aims to achieve a mapping of the situation of orphans in the Kingdom, building a platform for launching future projects, forming a reference for any subsequent work related to the orphan category, as well as launching specific initiatives that contribute to the development of current projects.
This was in the presence of His Excellency the CEO of the Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation, Mr. Suleiman bin Muhammad Al-Zakri, the General Supervisor of the Initiative, Dr. Mahmoud bin Muhammad Naqadi, the Chairman of the Initiative Committee, Mr. Abdul Majeed bin Hassan Abu Aqil, representatives of the consulting offices, in addition to the rest of the committee members and leaders of the Foundation.
